Fire, Wind, Rain and Greeness

Over the past 6 months we have been exposed to Fire, Wind and Rain and it wasnt to our liking at all!!

Most of these pictures you have seen in previous posts but I wanted to put them all together so you can actually see the difference and what things look like now.

March 2008
*FIRE*
This fire almost took our house but we luckily had a fireman willing to get between the house and the fire to fend it off

March-June
*UNFORGIVING WIND*
This was the worst!! We had very few days where the wind would not blow. It was so bad this year that we didnt even get a garden in until a month ago and that was just for fast growing stuff (except the grasshoppers ate the cucumber plants). So no tomatoes or peppers.
We were eating dirt for months because it was so fine it could get in through the smallest cracks and crevices.

June
*RAIN and TORNADOES*
The Monsoon season had FINALLY hit and dampened things down a bit too much. We had quite a few storms close together and here that spells out flood. SInce the fire had burned the fields the water just ran more freely than it normally would have. On one occaision we had 2 mini tornadoes come past our house. It pulled out wooden fence posts that were cemented into the ground. In its line it twisted irrigation systems, took roofs off barns and even leveled one.

*GREEN*
...And here we are...
We have had rain on and off so things have kept itself green. Every time I think I have to water the lawn a small storm will come through and Im good for awhile longer. On down note...now we have to mow all the brush down around the house to keep the skeeters at bay. This is the first year we have had trouble with them.

Well next I post our extreme weather it will probably be a blizzard. Why not the weather has gone crazy all around.

19th Anniversary

Our 19th Wedding Anniversary was last week August 12

I figured I would put some pictures together of Larry and I through the years to share

~The first picture was taken in 1987. I had just graduated high school.

~Second obviously our wedding. No one thought to take pictures of us together alone so my Gram pasted two pics together.

~Third picture was in 1990 when I was pregnant with Jess. We had these professional pictures taken the morning of Larry's sister's wedding and we were arguing. The reason we had such a large smile was because the photographer told us to say "We never fight"

~The fourth picture was taken in 2002 (I think). The last time we took a vacation. We headed north to NY but this picture was taken in Ohio at a friends house.

These pictures below really show how much we have changed.
Now if I could only be that thin again......

18 months, Walking and Ice Cream

Alrighty then...

I am always posting pictures and stuff about the boys and Jess and I realized that I dont focus enough attention on Chantelle so I figure I slip a little picture of her on here before going on to the subject of this post

Bug (as we call her) started high school this year. She likes going to school but hates the homework. What kid doesnt lol. She got another invite this year along with her sister to travel Europe next summer. She wants to go in the worst way.
Last years trip cost $8,000!!

Well on August 12th the boys turned 18 months. I wish I was able to post it up on that day be it was a busy one with Dr appts and shopping.

I was asked to take pictures of the boys walking. They just started getting the hang of it a few weeks ago. Ty is trying to run now although he throws himself off balance and Cayden is still learning his balance since he is slightly leaning inward on his arches.

I thought these walking pictures were priceless

Last thing on my mind was the mess...they liked them
Ty pretty much dug into his, Cayden was a bit more cautious because of the cold. He isnt fond of it and easily gets brain freezes (so it seems)
It also took Cayd awhile to figure out that he should hold it by the cone instead of the top.
Eventually Ty turned his upside down and began nibbling on the tip, soon he came to the chocolate and believe it or not did not like it!! This by a kid who LOVES his m&ms.

29 weeks and counting

Well Jess is 29 weeks now but we didnt get those pictures yet but here are 28 week belly pictures.

She started school last week and by Friday began retaining water. The swelling went down over the weekend.

Her baby shower is officially 9/13, hoping for a nice turn out.

Everyone keep praying she makes to at least 37 weeks.

Leftovers from July

Ok I got some pictures to upload so I can begin catching up with the goings on from the past few weeks.

Of course as the title tells you these are my July leftovers that didnt get posted up for one reason or another.


Ty, he doesnt suck his thumb or a pacifier but he will suck on the end of his puppy blanket.

Cayden, he wont use a pacifier or suck on his blanket but WILL suck on his thumb.
And there is Telle trying to stay out of the picture.

Just some random pictures of the boys together, I think this can count towards my Monday Match up post.

Well I thought I would play catch........BUT

I am having issues uploading pictures!!!
I finally get a chance to do a post in like almost 3 weeks and I cant post PICTURES!!!

Kicking and stomping of the feet, whining and carrying on....oh yes we moms deserve to do it once in awhile.

Ok, still dont feel better because who knows when I will be able to find peace and quiet anytime soon.

I guess I could share a little news that doesnt come with pictures.

I hadnt blogged much because recently things have been just crazy around here.

1. I had stomach issues on and off for a few weeks
2. then a cryo ablation
3. and the biggest news.......My daughter's boyfriend walked out on her leaving her pregnant with the twins and having to deal with being a single mother. Just peachy!!
Ohhh and that is going over just lovely, especially since he blamed it all on her then turns around and is seeing another girl he was in contact with BEFORE he left. Real mature!! Meanwhile he's off and about doing his "guy thing" while Jess has just started her Senior yr in HS wondering when they are going to put her on homebound and praying the girls don't arrive too early.

If it was possible I am sure all my "Homegirls" would gang together and hunt him down and make him think twice about the next time he takes his thing out of his pants.
I swear though, its a parents nightmare!!

Jess thinks she wants to go to nursing school. She has to take an Anatomy and Physiology class this year and is liking it so far. We will see what comes of things. There is a VERY good school in the area that would work. If we had our way we would pack up and head back east to start over and be closer to family. Cant have everything though so make the best with what you got.

As some may recall the beginning of July we had some bad storms blow through. One even included two small tornadoes that came right past out house. Also some of you may recall the fire and the dirt storms we had and how dry everything was. I had posted up pictures. Well I will have new pictures soon of what things look like now....its green!!! Crazy ass weather!!!
I will definitely create a blog comparing the different pictures over the past few months.

Ok well Ive done enough rambling on...I have to pee now
