Cake balls...first attempt

Cruising on the net one day I came across this very interesting recipe that seemed simple and sounded yummy.
Cake balls!

I read the recipe through pretty quickly and figure I could do that.

You need
1 Box of cake mix (any flavor)
1 Container of frosting (any flavor)
Almond bark or similar candy coating
Wax paper
toothpicks

So go ahead and mix up the cake mix as usual pop it in the oven and bake it up.

Mmmmmm chocolate frosting......

Put the cake in a bowl and break it up then let cool thoroughly

When cooled mash it and add the frosting mixing it all the way through

Roll into balls then chill for about 3 hours in the fridge or over night as some prefer

When you are ready melt the chocolate bark

Here's the part I missed...the toothpicks.
Take a toothpick and stab the cake ball so that you can dip it into the melted chocolate without hassle and use a second toothpick to help slide off the cake.

Dingbat me didnt re-read the recipe and I ended up dipping the bottoms then pouring over the tops.
Its tasted just as good though

Here is the link to where I found the recipe

There are many different variations of making these and they have pictures, yummy pictures!

I am going to give it another shot in a couple days because Jess really would like these for her baby shower so I will keep trying until I get it right. In the meantime...yum.
